| ABIDE Ethiopia is an indigenous non profit development organization registered in Ethiopia. It aims to contribute to human resource and institutional capacity building through mobilizing intellectual and other resources from Ethiopians in the Diaspora and friends of Ethiopia for increased opportunities for Ethiopia’s brain gain towards the development of the country and its people. |

How can I become a member? |
| ABIDE welcomes all Ethiopians locally and in the Diaspora and Friends of Ethiopia with goodwill to support Ethiopia’s development and who uphold the objectives of ABIDE. Membership is open to all. |

How can I donate funds to the organization? |
| ABIDE welcomes any kind of donation to strengthen its own capacity or for institutional capacity building in the country without obligation for membership. Donations can be made monetarily as one-time payment or in installment or in the form of equipment, books, journals, computers, and any other required supplies. |

Does the organization work in partnership with others? |
| ABIDE works in close collaboration with development forces in the country and outside; with individuals, associations, and organizations upholding the objectives of the organization; with community members, young people, NGOs, associations and societies, public and private organizations, government ministries, research and academic institutions and special groups. |

How can I assist? |
| You can help immensely by volunteering to become a member, sharing ABIDE information to others, contributing funds, generating/mobilizing resources, soliciting others to become members, linking ABIDE to other similar organizations etc. |

How can I volunteer to support ABIDE? |
| Voluntary participation is the basis on which ABIDE is footing itself for effective functioning. Anyone who wishes to volunteer their time, knowledge and skills could link with the contacts. Please see address of contacts. |

What are Active Members’ Rights and Obligations? |
| Any individual or organization interested in the development of the Ethiopian people and committed to the vision and objectives of ABIDE is eligible for membership. One can become a member by registering as an active member and paying membership fees. The fee structure is determined by the Board of Management. Categories of membership and rights and duties pertaining thereto including the right to vote, to be elected for office and such other rights and benefits as the Board may determine from time to time. |

Members of the network can contribute by:
Participating in training or research with Ethiopian counterparts
Transferring technology to Ethiopian institutions
Disseminating cultural and artistic creation
Facilitating business contacts
Facilitating discussion forum(s)
Initiating research and commercial projects
Receiving Ethiopian graduate students in laboratories, or training program
Transmitting information and results of research which are not locally available. |
