ABIDE convened its General Assembly Meeting.

ABIDE convened its General Assembly Meeting on 15 December 2007 at the Imperial Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. With the presence of twenty six of its members, the GA endorsed the 2007 HLM Activity Implementation and Audit Reports and approved the proposed Action Plan and Budget for the year 2008.

Reaching Out to the Diaspora to Contribute to the Country's Development

ABIDE conducted a one-day national symposium on Thursday, 30 August 2007

A one day National Symposium on “Engaging the Diaspora for Ethiopia’s Development” was successfully held at the Addis Ababa Municipality City Hall on 30 August 2007. The Symposium was organized by ABIDE Ethiopia in partnership with the Addis Ababa Millennium Secretariat to create a platform for interactive dialogue between members of the Diaspora and key institutions, stakeholders and relevant individuals.

ABIDE was officially launched on 29 March 2007 in an occasion that took place at the Addis Ababa Ghion Hotel with the presence of H.E Ato Fikru Dessalegne, State Minister for the Ministry of Capacity Building.
